The museums of Modane

At the foot of the Valfréjus resort, the town of Modane is home to several very different museums. You will discover the history of Modane in a bistro atmosphere of the beginning of the 20th century at the Muséobar. You will discover in a playful way the dark matter, the neutrino and the experiments which are led in the underground laboratory of Modane, in the heart of the mountain, in the exhibition space of the LSM. You will know everything about the Lyon-Turin tunnel work in progress at La Rizerie. In the summer, you can also discover the history of the first railway tunnel and even explore a former fort of the Maginot Line of the Alps.
