Description
The Haute Maurienne Vanoise Community of Communes (CCHMV) is a Public Establishment for Intercommunal Cooperation (EPCI), formed by the merger on 1 January 2017 of the "Terra Modana" and "Haute Maurienne Vanoise" communities of communes.
The CCHMV is involved in many areas of competence, the main ones being: tourism development, economic development, spatial planning, social action (through its CIAS), housing and living conditions, sports and cultural facilities, the environment and culture.
In 2020, the number of community councillors resulting from the spring municipal elections in the 10 communes is increased to 29 (4 more). It is chaired by Christian SIMON.
