Ski touring: Traversée des Rois Mages
The Traversée des Rois Mages commemorates one of the oldest ski crossings of the Alps, between Modane (73) and Bardonecchia (IT). The event is open to all independent ski tourers, whatever their physical or technical level.
Description
The Traversée des Rois Mages is a cross-border ski touring crossing between Modane (73) and Bardonechia (IT) according to a route validated by a high mountain guide and accompanied by the French and Italian Alpine Clubs.
Registration and payment on the internet.
Your registration includes:
- Transport:
The bus transfer
The passage of the Fréjus tunnel;
Luggage transport.
- Catering:
Café croissants in Valfréjus;
Snack at the Thabor refuge;
Hot meal in the two mountain huts in Valle Stretta.

NB: Meeting: at 7:00 am at the Maison du Thabor in Valfréjus
or at 6.30 a.m. at pian del col (Bardonecchia) for transport to Valfréjus
Return by bus to Valfréjus around 4:00 p.m.
Warning :
Participants have their personal equipment and must have:
1.a shovel, a probe and an avalanche victim detector (DVA or ARVA)
2.identity document (border crossing)
For participants from the valley who have it, take the HMV ski pass (for the Valfréjus lifts at the start).
