Pôle d'Activités et de Soins Adaptés (PASA)

The PASA, opened in October 2013, is a living space where social and therapeutic activities are organized and offered during the day.

Description

The PASA is available to EHPAD or USA residents with moderate behavioral problems. It accommodates 14 residents every weekday, depending on their needs.
Prior to admission to the PASA, a medical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or a related illness complicated by moderate behavioral disorders that impair the safety and quality of life of the individual and other residents must be made. A prescription from the attending or coordinating physician is therefore required.

The aim of care in this unit is to make the most of the elderly person's remaining abilities, to regain a certain degree of autonomy, to reduce agitation and wandering through participation in appropriate activities, to reduce the consumption of psychotropic drugs, and to improve quality of life in the community.
