Cycling climb from Valfréjus
This 14-turn road leads to the Valfréjus resort in a forest atmosphere. The view from the resort is magnificent!
Description
From Modane station, follow signs for Modane-Ville. At the supermarket, turn right towards Valfréjus. At the third kilometer, you'll come across the Maison Penchée, a former blockhouse which we suggest you enter to test your sense of balance. After the junction with the freeway, the climb begins in earnest, with no less than 14 switchbacks through the forest. One kilometer before the finish line, look out for the Charmaix chapel suspended from the cliff below the bridge of the same name.
