Every Sunday afternoon, enjoy a discovery hike led by Christophe, our mountain guide with a passion for nature. Let yourself be surprised by the beauty of the scenery and the unusual encounters far from the slopes.

Description

Working in the Valfréjus resort for 33 years, and originally from our beautiful Maurienne valley, our mountain guide Christophe will be delighted to offer you the following suggestions:
Sunday afternoon 2pm hike: Discover our program for the week, and the starting points for our marked hikes (winter signage, advice on essential hiking equipment). Discover how our mountain ecosystems function.
Mountain forest Monday 9am and 2pm: Forest itinerary to discover wood species, their adaptation to altitude, traditional uses, sculptures, etc. Plant and animal symbioses.
Chamois hike Tuesday 9am and 2pm: Hike in search of the graceful chamois. Observation with spotting scopes. Discover this tireless climber, the emblem of our mountains.
Sentier d'autrefois Wednesday 9am and 2pm: Itinerary along an old path leading to the mountain pastures of yesteryear. Beautiful scenery, explanation of the traditional way of life, relaxation, disconnection, possible observation of wildlife.
Mountain wildlife Thursday 9am and 2pm: Hike to discover the wildlife of our mountains. Observation with binoculars, wilderness itinerary, relaxation guaranteed.
Large predator hike Friday 9am and 2pm: Hike with a member of the large predator network (wolf-lynx census). Discover wolf behavior, organization and number of wolves in France. Fingerprint identification, census methods, interaction with farmers. Very interesting and instructive.
Night hikes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm: Disconnection guaranteed. Walk in the forest under the winter sky, pause around a log fire and descend by torchlight to the station.

Ages 7 and up.
Our hikes last 3 hours, with plenty of time for long-range observation of mountain wildlife. Relaxation, discovery, conviviality and fresh air are the aims of our hikes.
