Show: Pie, the forest of books
This show is about man's relationship with books and stories. Where do the legends, fables and tales that people have been telling each other for millennia come from? Will these stories disappear if books disappear?
Description
Eugène lives alone. Surrounded by his books, locked in his library.
His only visitor is Pie. A mute, twirling, goofy young girl. A tender, touching friendship develops between them. Until the day Pie decides to show Eugène the story she's imagined.
From then on, Pie's imagination takes over Eugène and his library in search of the last book trees.
Using circus and clowning techniques, artists Céline Bulteau and Stéphane Oerthel evolve in the imaginary world of Pie and Eugène, directed and illustrated live by Thierry Vidal.
